This is a family favorite in a lot of homes... While I've never been a HUGE meatloaf lover, this is the recipe my family used growing up and its wonderful comfort food!

Ingredients For meatloaf

  • 2 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 dash
    ground black pepper
  • 2 c
    soft bread crumbs
  • 1 c
    heinz 57 steak sauce
  • 1
    medium onion, chopped
  • 1 c
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 pkg
    lawy's meatloaf seasoning
  • ketchup

How To Make meatloaf

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a loaf pan or foil lined baking dish.

    In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients EXCEPT for the ketchup until mixed well.

    Place mixture in or on baking dish and mold into a loaf if not using a loaf pan.

    Take ketchup and brush the entire loaf as if you were frosting a cake.

    Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until done. Let stand for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
