Ingredients For meatballs in onion sauce

2 lbground beef
-
1 lbground pork
-
1 cbreadcrumbs

1 cmilk

1 mdegg

1 tspsalt

2 mdonions, finely chopped

1/2 cbutter
- ONION SAUCE:
-
3 conions, thinly sliced

1 cbutter

6 Tbspflour
-
1 tspsalt

2 1/2 cbeef broth

1/2 cmilk
How To Make meatballs in onion sauce

1Soak bread crumbs in milk.

2Mix all remaining meatball ingredients except butter. Form into walnut sized meatballs.

3Brown them well in the butter.

4Cover and simmer 1 hour.

5Sauce: Saute onions in butter until caramelized. Blend in flour and salt.

6Slowly add milk and beef broth. Stir until it thickens somewhat.

7Pour over meatballs and serve.
