Ingredients For meatballs and sauce

    ground chuck
  • 1/2 c
    italian bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1
    small, sweet onion, chopped fine
  • ingredients for the sauce
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 c
    catalina salad dressing
  • 1 tsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    white vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2
    small, sweet onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    brown sugar, firmly packed

How To Make meatballs and sauce

    Mix all meatball ingredients and form into small, meatballs (slightly larger than the diameter of a quarter. Put meatballs into preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Make the sauce. Turn meatballs and pour sauce over them. Put back in oven for 30 more minutes.

    You can make these meatballs ahead of time and freeze. Then simply thaw, make sauce and cook.I usually make two batches -- eat one and freeze one for later. This recipe doubles easily.
