Ingredients For meat loaf

  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/4 c
    onion, grated
  • 2
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c
    oat meal
  • 1/2 lb
    pork
  • 1/4 c
    carrots, grated
  • 1/4 c
    horseradish
  • 1 tsp
    dijon mustard (yellow will do in a pinch)
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    tobasco (optional)

How To Make meat loaf

    In a medium bowl combine milk and oatmeal. Let stand for 2 minutes. Stir in eggs, horseradish, ketchup, garlic, Dijon, salt and pepper.

    In a large bowl combine ground beef, pork, onions and carrots. Gently mix in oatmeal mixture until combined thoroughly. On a parchment or foil lined sheet pan shape mixture into a loaf. Score the top diagonally

    Bake at 350 for 30 minutes

    For a Ketchup Glaze - Combine 1/2 cup Ketchup, 1 TBS diced garlic, 1 TBS Worchester sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 TBS Tabasco (optional) and slather on top. Bake another 30 minutes or until done.
