When my Grandchildren are around the one thing they request most are sloppy joe's. As a cancer survivor I don't like serving them from a can mixed in with ground beef, I prefer to make my own versions. This one never fails and is a complete hit with everyone.

Ingredients For loose meat sloppy joe's

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    smoke paprika
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1/4 can
    water, use empty tomato sauce can to measure
  • 2 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce

How To Make loose meat sloppy joe's

    Brown the ground beef in a skillet over med. high heat. Drain the grease and add in the onion, cooking for 3-4 minutes.

    Add the seasonings and stir into the ground beef. Add the remaining items and stir well to combine. Reduce to medium and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often.
