Ingredients For lisa's pepper steak

1large vidalia onions, sliced

1/4 colive oil
-
1 1/2 lbflank steak, cut in 1/8-inch strips

1/8 tspminced garlic
-
1/4 tspblack pepper
-
1envelope brown gravy
-
1 4 ozcan sliced mushrooms, drained

1green pepper, thinly sliced
-
1red pepper, thinly sliced
-
3 Tbspsoy sauce
-
1 tspsugar
-
1 cwater
-
rice, cooked
How To Make lisa's pepper steak

1Cook rice according package to directions. Stir-fry onions and peppers in oil until tender. Remove from skillet; set aside. Quick-fry beef strips until just brown. Add soy sauce, sugar, garlic and pepper to beef. Lower heat and simmer 10 minutes. Combine gravy mix and water; add to beef, stirring well for 3 to 5 minutes. Add green peppers, red peppers and onions and remaining ingredients. Cook covered on low heat until gravy is thickened. Do not overcook (5 to 6 minutes is sufficient). Serve over cooked rice.
