I know there are alot of lasagna recipes her,but this just a little bit different and my family loves it. I hope you will too. I don't use ground turkey alot but in this recipe,it's very good,I prefer turkey pepperoni so I tried ground turkey and it's tasty. I also make the same recipe using ground beef and regular pepperoni. I like Barilla's brand of pasta sauce,it has large chunks of mushrooms,or you can just saute 1 c mushrooms with the meat.

Ingredients For lasagna

2 lbs ground turkey or beef

1/2 c onion,minced

4 cloves garlic,minced

4 tablespoons parsley,chopped

1 t. salt
-
1 t. fresh basil,minced or torn into small pieces
-
1/2 t. black pepper
-
1/4 t. red pepper flakes
-
1 t. italian seasoning
-
2 jars of mushroom pasta sauce
-
2 c parmesan,freshly grated
-
3 c small curd cottage cheese
-
2 eggs,beaten
-
1 lb shredded mozzarella cheese
-
2 pkgs turkey pepperoni
-
8 lasagna noodles
How To Make lasagna

1Bring a large pot of water to a boil. In a large skillet or saucepan, combine ground beef,onion and garlic. Cook over medium-high heat until browned. Drain. Add 2 T. parsley,salt,pepper,basil,pepper flakes and Italian seasoning and pasta sauce,simmer for 45 minutes. In a medium bowl, mix cottage cheese, beaten eggs, grated Parmesan, 2 tablespoons parsley, and 1/2 t. more teaspoon salt. Stir together well. Set aside. Cook lasagna until al dente. Arrange 4 cooked lasagna noodles in the bottom of a baking pan, overlapping if necessary. Spoon half the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles. Spread evenly. Cover cottage cheese with a layer of mozzarella cheese. Add 1 /2 of the pepperoni,spoon a little less than half the meat/sauce mixture over the top. Repeat, ending with meat/sauce mixture. Bake 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes,sprinkle top generously with extra Parmesan,turn of the oven and let sit a few minutes until cheese is hot.
