Ingredients For kielbasa sausage with caraway sauerkraut

  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 16 oz
    sauerkraut
  • 1 c
    dry white wine
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp
    caraway seed
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 lb
    kielbasa, sliced diagonally

How To Make kielbasa sausage with caraway sauerkraut

    Combine onion, sauerkraut, wine, bay leaves, caraway seeds and pepper in heavy large saucepan.

    Cover and simmer mixture for 30 minutes.

    Add sausage and simmer 20 minutes.

    Discard bay leaves and serve.

    Note: I've also made this in the crock pot on low for about 6 hours.
