This is the "only" way I want my burgers made and when we go out... I make sure the cook of the restaurant knows it. I am polite about it, but the first thing I want to know before ordering a burger is will they make it exactly the way I like if I tell them? They ALWAYS say yes! And one restaurant actually put it on the menu. They got the name WRONG, but you can order it exactly as I make it at home ;

Ingredients For katrina burgers

  • 1/3 lb
    very lean ground beef
  • 1
    big kaiser roll, toasted
  • 1/2
    fresh avocado, sliced
  • 2
    swiss cheese, thin slices
  • 3
    red onion slices
  • 1 Tbsp
    light mayonaise

How To Make katrina burgers

  • 1
    Form each patty and make a large depression in the center so you have a patty not a ball of meat
  • 2
    Grill according to taste. I like mine medium well. Add salt and pepper to taste and toast the bun.

    Just before removing burger from the grill add cheese slices

    Build the burger with avocado & onion and spread mayonaise on one half the bun. Take a bite and fall in love
