I found a recipe for a chinese casserole like my mom had made. I was so hungry for it that I went searching for her recipe. Here it is! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Ingredients For karen's chinese caserole

2 lbvery lean ground beef

1 lgsweet onion - chopped

2 ccelery - sliced

2 cancream of mushroom soup

3 ccooked rice (this is about equal to 1 1/2 cups uncooked rice)

1/2 csoy sauce
-
2 cansliced water chestnuts - drained
-
1 pkgchow mein noodles
How To Make karen's chinese caserole

1Brown hamburger in dutch oven/large pot with the chopped onion and sliced celery.

2When hamburger is cooked through and the onion and celery are tender add the drained water chestnuts, soy sauce, cream of mushroom soup and prepared rice. Cover and cook on low heat until heated through.

3Serve hot with chow mein noodles on top.
