They used to make this at my Jr High School and I am still making it today. We have this dish with corn and applesauce. My kids who are all grown but 1 always ask for this dish.

Ingredients For johnny marzetti

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 sm
    box , elbow macaroni
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 sm
    onion
  • 1/2
    green pepper (optional)
  • 2 can
    tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 can
    water
  • 1-2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1-2 clove
    garlic
  • salt & pepper to taste

How To Make johnny marzetti

  • 1
    Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  • 2
    In a large skillet, brown hamburger, chopped onions, chopped green pepper, garlic, salt & pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

    Add tomato soup, water and stir till sauce is combined well. Allow to simmer till noddles are done.

    Drain noodles and add to meat mixture. Melt 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese on top.
