Ingredients For jane's beef stroganoff

  • 1 lb
    sirloin tip cut into small bite size pieces
  • 3 bottle
    flour, or enough to flour beef tips
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onions
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can
    water
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 to 3 Tbsp
    butter for browning

How To Make jane's beef stroganoff

    Cut beef into bite size pieces, roll in flour and brown in a large skillet with 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter.

    After browing beef remove from skillet and set aside
  • 3
    Put a little more butter in skillet and then place chopped onions and celery in it and about 10 minutes at very low heat.

    After onion and celery are tenderized, add mushroom soup, water, sour cream and wors. sauce.

    Simmer about 5 minutes and then add beef back to skillet. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Simmer all for at least 30 minutes and 3 to 4 hours for best results. Serve over rice or noodles.
