We love pot roast but I wanted to spice it up for a different taste. This is a great way to fix it with herbs and red wine!

Slow Cooker Crock Pot
Ingredients For italian pot roast

1roast, trimmed
-
red potatoes cut into wedges
-
2 Tbspvegetable oil
-
15 oz. cantomato sauce
-
1/2 cred wine
-
2 lgtomatoes, chopped
-
1 mdonion, chopped
-
4 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 Tbspsalt
-
1 Tbspground black pepper
-
1 tspdried basil
-
1 tspdried oregano
-
1/2 cbeef broth, reduced sodium
How To Make italian pot roast

1Brown all sides of roast in vegetable oil.

2Combine tomato sauce and next nine ingredients.

3Place potatoes in bottom of a crock pot and place roast on top of pototoes. Pour sauce over roast and potatoes.

4Cook in crock pot 8-10 hours or until done. (Or bake, covered at 325 degress for 3 hours or until roast is tender.)
