Ingredients For italian meat pie

  • 1 pkg
    main dish mix for lasagna, hamburger helper
  • 6 c
    boiling water
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 can
    whole tomatoes, drained, 16 ounces
  • 1 can
    mushroom stems and pieces, drained, 4 ounces
  • 1/4 c
    sliced green onions
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    mixed italian herbs, crumbled
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/4 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 slice
    mozzarella cheese

How To Make italian meat pie

    cook macaroni for Main dish mix for lasagna in boiling water and salt in large pan for eight minutes or until tender. Drain. Return drain macaroni to pan.

    Stir in tomatoes, mushrooms, green onions, flour, salt and Italian herbs until well mixed. Pour into a 9 inch pie plate.

    Mix ground beef, sauce mix, milk, bread crumbs and egg. Mix until well blended. Pat evenly over macaroni mixture into pie plate. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until beef is cooked. Cut into wedges. Serves six Note: This is where the recipe ends. I don't know when you would put the cheese on top, before cooking or right before serving.
