This is sort of like a sloppy joe, Italian style courtesy of my mom. The green beans are a great addition!

  • 1
    loaf italian bread, unsliced
  • 1 1/2 lb
    hamburger
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    horseradish
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 9 oz
    italian cut green beans, frozen
  • 3/4 c
    parmesan
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil

How To Make italian loaf supper, mom

    Cut thick slice from end of loaf, pull out crumbs, leaving 1/2 inch on crust. Set aside. Combine crumbs with all but oil, beans and cheese. Brown meat in oil, stirring until crumbly. Add thawed beans to hot mixture, then cheese. Fill loaf with mixture and replace end slice. Wrap in foil, bake at 425 degrees for 20 min. serve sliced.
