Mom made Italian Beef for baby showers, bridal showers, etc. I altered her recipe, however, I bake, let the roast cool so I can skim off the fat, then slice, and return to the liquid to let heat again to serve (makes it very tender). You can serve on slider buns if desired (for those parties).

6 lbrump roast, trimmed

2 tspred pepper, diced

1 pkgonion soup mix, sprinkle on top (see notes for alternatives)

How To Make italian beefs

1Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours. Slice beef and serve on onion buns.

2Notes: This was the original recipe. I, however omitted the onion soup mix and covered with a can of beef consume soup instead.
