This recipe came to me through a friend. We both love using our crock pot on busy days - and on lazy days! =D This is a meal that will basically cook itself with little to no prep, only one pot to clean up and the whole family is happy! If you like spicy, add more peppers. The half a jar gives it great flavor without much bite.

Ingredients For italian beef sandwiches

  • 1
    beef rump roast
  • 1/2 jar
    pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 pkg
    italian dressing mix

How To Make italian beef sandwiches

    Put roast into crockpot.
  • 2
    Pull stems off of peppers and lay on top of roast.

    Pour seasoning mix over top of roast, coating evenly.

    Put lid on crock and turn on low. Cook approximately 8 hours depending on size of roast. No need to add any liquid, the roast will create its own juice.

    When roast is done cooking, shred meat with two forks. Serve on warmed, toasted buns with cheese or any other toppings.

    ***If you would like dipping your sandwich in the juices, you can add a can of beef broth about an hour before ready to serve.
