Need an easy Sunday dinner or something new to serve on game day? Give this Italian Beef a try. This sandwich is fantastic! It's easy to prepare. Once baked, the meat is super juicy and full of flavor. Top with cheese and serve on crusty bread for quite a delicious sandwich.

Ingredients For italian beef

  • 4-5 lb
    beef chuck roast
  • 8 clove
    garlic
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried Italian seasonings
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 1 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 jar
    pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 Tbsp
    beef base paste
  • 2 c
    water

How To Make italian beef

  • Cutting small slits in the roast.

    Cut slits in roast.
  • Inserting garlic into the slit.

    Insert garlic cloves into slits. Put in large roaster or baking dish.
  • Seasonings combined together and rubbed onto the roast.

    Mix Italian seasonings, garlic salt, red pepper flakes in a bowl. Cover roast with the seasoning.
  • Pepperoncini peppers sprinkled over the roast.

    Add pepperoncini peppers.
  • Beef baste and water mixed together.

    Mix beef base with water.
  • Beef baste mixture poured over the roast.

    Then pour over roast.
  • Roast baking in the oven.

    Cover and bake in a 300 degree oven for 6-8 hours.
  • Shredded beef on a plate.

    Remove beef from pan and shred.
  • Broth chilling in the fridge.

    Save broth and chill. Skim fat off of broth and reheat.
  • A serving plate filled with Italian Beef.
