Ingredients For irish rover's unicorn pub shepherd's pie

2 lblean ground beef

2 lgpotatoes, cooked and mashed

2 Tbspbutter mixed with 2 tablespoons flour

8 ozbeef broth
-
1/2 tspnutmeg
-
pepper to taste

salt to taste

2garlic cloves, minced

1.5 ccorn, fresh or frozen

1 ccelery, diced
-
1 ccarrots, diced
-
1 conion, diced
-
butter
How To Make irish rover's unicorn pub shepherd's pie

1Cook ground beef in frying pan until brown.

2Add onion, carrots, celery, garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg.

3Lower heat and cook for 10 minutes or until vegetables are wilted.

4Add beef broth, bring to a boil.

5Stir in enough of the butter/flour roux to make a thick gravy to bind the filling.

6Pour into large shallow baking pan and cool.

7The filling should be about 1-1/2 inches deep.

8Cover the meat mixture in the pan with the corn and then top with the hot mashed potatoes.

9Smooth potatoes evenly, brush surface with butter.

10Bake at 325 for 35-40 minutes.
