inside out ravioli

My Mom used to make this for family dinners about 18 years ago, and even my kids liked it, they never even knew it was spinach in it. This freezes really well for make ahead meals.

Ingredients For inside out ravioli

1 lbground sirloin,( i perfer to use hot italian sausage)

1 Tbspoil

1 canspaghetti sauce
-
1/2 pkg(6oz) mostaccoli macaroni, ( i use whole grain)

1 pkg(10oz) frozen chopped spinach

1 camerican cheese, grated
-
1/2 csoft bread crumbs
-
2eggs, well beaten
-
1/4 citalian grated cheese
-
3 clovegarlic
-
1/2 tsporegano, dried
-
1 Tbspdried parsley
-
1/4 colive oil, extra virgin

1/2 cchopped onion
-
1/4 citalian cheese grated
How To Make inside out ravioli

1Brown meat onion and garlic in oil. Drain off excess grease. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste (diluted with 3 cans of water), dried parsely, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes. Cook the mastaccoli macaroni as directed on package. Strain and rinse off with cold water. Put back in pan in which it was cooked. Add spinach,American cheese, crumbs, egg, oil and italian grated cheese. Spread mixture in 13x9x2-in. baking dish. Top with meat mixture. Sprinkle italian grated cheese on top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
