Another of the Bisquick Impossible Pie recipes with my own special spin on it. This ended up tasting so much like "pizza in a casserole". It's definitely one of my favorites. This casserole tastes just like a cheese pizza from your favorite pizza parlor.

Ingredients For impossibly easy pizza pie for a crowd

  • 2 lb
    ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce (14.5 ounce)
  • 1 can
    diced tomatoes (flavored with garlic, basil and oregano)
  • 1 c
    bisquick
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 4
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • dried oregano (optional)
  • fresh basil (cut into thin strips)

How To Make impossibly easy pizza pie for a crowd

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 13" x 9" casserole dish with cooking spray.

    Brown the meat, drain. Add the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, stir to combine, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat. Spread this mixture in the casserole dish.

    In a medium bowl, combine the Bisquick, milk, and eggs, whisk to combine thoroughly. Pour the Bisquick mixture carefully over the meat mixture in the casserole dish.

    Bake for 30 minutes. Sprinkle evenly with cheese. Sprinkle dried oregano and/or sliced fresh basil. Bake 10 minutes longer, until cheese is nice and bubbly or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
