My mom used to make this often for our supper when my dad had to work; and it was only mom and us 3 girls. So good! This is Betty's photo- we never had a salad with it just this and garlic toast made from hot dog buns. This is the recipe mom used.

Ingredients For impossible lasagna pie

1 lbground beef

1/2 cchopped onion

1 Tbspitalian seasoning, crushed

1/4 cgrated parmesan cheese

6 ozcan tomato paste

1/2 csmall curd cottage cheese

1 cshredded mozzarella cheese

1 cmilk
-
2/3 cbisquick baking mix
-
2 lgeggs
-
1 tspseasoned salt
-
1 pinchpepper

pasta sauce, optional
How To Make impossible lasagna pie

1Heat oven to 400^. Spray a 10-inch pie pan or shallow casserole dish with non-stick vegetable oil.

2In a large skillet with a small amount of bacon drippings,cook and scramble the ground beef, until no longer pink.; remove from heat and add the onion,Italian seasoning, tomato paste, and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese.

3In the prepared baking dish mix together and layer the cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese. Spoon the meat mixture evenly over the cheese mixture.

4In a bowl beat milk, Bisquick, eggs, salt and pepper until smooth with a whisk. Pour mixture over the meat mixture. Bake until golden brown,until knife inserted in center comes out clean about 35 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with warm pasta sauce if desired and garlic toast.
