My husband and I are great fans of horseradish. Since discovering this recipe, I have made no other kind of meatloaf. I have often used this as a company dish. It gets rave reviews every time I serve it. Serve with horseradish mashed potatoes and a green salad. Comfort food at its best!

Ingredients For horseradish meatloaf
- MEATLOAF

2 lbground beef (i use half ground sirloin and half ground chuck)

3/4 cregular oatmeal, uncooked

1 lgonion, chopped

1/2 cketchup
-
1/4 cmilk (i use skim)

2 lgeggs, lightly beaten

1 Tbspprepared horseradish
-
1 1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 gground black pepper
- TOPPING
-
1/2 cketchup
-
3 Tbspbrown sugar
-
1 Tbspprepared horseradish

2 tspdijon mustard
How To Make horseradish meatloaf

1Heat oven to 375 degrees.

2Combine meatloaf ingredients in a large bowl; mix well. (Just use your hands to mix things together.)

3Form beef mixture into a loaf, and place in a rectangular casserole dish.

4Combine topping ingredients in a small bowl, stirring well.

5Spoon half of topping over meatloaf, coating all sides. Reserve remaining half for later use.

6Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

7Spoon reserved topping over meatloaf, and bake an additional 10 minutes.

8Let the loaf sit for 15 minutes before serving.
