I created this new baked rigatoni recipe with my famous honey margarine, filled with ground beef and banana peppers.

Ingredients For honey margarine baked rigatoni

  • HONEY MARGARINE
  • 2 1/2 stick
    margarine
  • 3/4 c
    honey
  • BAKED RIGATONI
  • 3
    banana peppers, sliced
  • 1 c
    Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 lb
    dry rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lg
    vidalia sweet onion, peeled and sliced
  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp
    steak seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 c
    heavy cream
  • 3/4 c
    half and half
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tsp
    Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz
    colby jack cheese, shredded

How To Make honey margarine baked rigatoni

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Whisk margarine and honey together in a small bowl until combined.

    Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add sliced banana peppers, 2 tablespoons honey margarine and bread crumbs; mix well.

    Cook rigatoni pasta according to package directions; drain.

    Heat 2 tablespoons honey margarine in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced vidalia sweet onion and saute for 5 minutes or until are tender. Transfer to a large plate. Set aside.

    Brown ground beef in a same skillet over medium-high heat,breaking it up as it cooks. Drain the grease if necessary and return to the skillet; add 2 tablespoons honey margarine, steak seasoning and garlic powder to the beef. Reduce to low heat. Cook for 5 minutes.

    In a medium bowl, combine heavy cream, half and half, cream cheese and remaining honey margarine together. Gently stir in cooked rigatoni pasta and sauteed sliced onion. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

    Layer half of rigatoni pasta mixture in the bottom of the baking dish and spread out evenly.

    Spread half of beef mixture over the rigatoni pasta and sprinkle with half the shredded colby jack cheese. Repeat layers.

    Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
