Ingredients For homestyle chili

1 pkgbacon

1green bell pepper, diced

1 mdyellow onions, diced

2 Tbspolive oil

1 1/2 lbground beef

1 canbeef broth

1 cantomatoes, canned italian-style and diced

1 cantomato sauce

1 canpinto beans
-
1 cankidney beans, canned

1 canblack beans

1 tspthyme, dried

3 Tbspchili powder

1 Tbspsmoked paprika

1 tspcumin

salt and pepper
How To Make homestyle chili

1Chop bacon, and cook over medium high heat in a large stock pot. Remove and drain.

2In the same pot add olive oil, peppers, and onion. Saute until onion begin to look translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain and return to heat.

3Add bacon back into the pot. Add broth, tomato sauce, diced tomato, beans, and spices. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer on low heat 30-45min.

4Serve hot. Top with sour cream and cheddar cheese optional.
