Ingredients For hoisin mixed meat lettuce wraps

  • 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    ground pork
  • 1/2 lb
    ground veal
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    ginger grated
  • 2 Tbsp
    hoisin sauce
  • 2
    green onions diced
  • salt and pepper
  • SAUCE
  • 1 c
    red currant jelly
  • 1/2 c
    hoisin sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    mirin
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 tsp
    sambal olek more or less to taste
  • GARNISHES
  • fresh cilantro chopped
  • romaine or bibb lettuce leaves

How To Make hoisin mixed meat lettuce wraps

  • 1
    Place the meats in a large skillet. Add the garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce and green onion. Cook until no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    In a separate pan add the sauce ingredients and cook until the jelly is melted.

    Mix the meat into the sauce. Serve on lettuce leaves and garnish with cilantro.
