Ingredients For healthy beef skillet

    lean ground beef
  • 1 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 c
    celery, chopped
  • 1
    bell pepper, de-seeded and cubed
  • 1 can
    (28 oz) diced tomatoes, do not drain
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 c
    frozen peas
  • 2 sm
    carrots, diced
  • 1 c
    uncooked rice
  • 1 1/2 c
    water or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic

How To Make healthy beef skillet

  • 1
    Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain off any excess fat.

    Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • 3
    Cover and cook over medium heat until boiling.
  • 4
    Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 35 minutes. Serve hot.
