This is a recipe my mom made up herself for her family back in the 60's. Delicious, simple and wholesome with mashed potatoes and gravy. Very Nostalgic. Very good. Serve with buttered corn, and a nice side salad.

Ingredients For hamburger with gravy

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground chuck
  • 1/2 c
    bread crumbs, dry
  • 1 md
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    water, cold
  • 1 can
    beef gravy or beef and mushrooms or beef and onions gravy

How To Make hamburger with gravy

  • 1
    Mix together first 6 indgredients. Form patties. Fry in olive oil in a large frying pan. Cook very well. Drain oil. Add gravy to pan.Simmer until gravy bubbles gently. Serve on plate with gravy over mashed potatoes.(You can also add Liptons onion soup mix to gravy to add to flavor)
