Nothing beats the winter like a nice bowl of soup. This is a filling and easy to make soup. That's very hearty.

Ingredients For hamburger soup

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped fine
  • 1 oz
    28 oz can tomatoes
  • 2 c
    water
  • 3 can
    beef consomme
  • 1 can
    tomato soup
  • 2 stalk
    celery
  • 4
    carrots, sliced
  • 3
    potatoes, cubed
  • 2
    slices, turnip
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • 8 Tbsp
    rice or barley
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make hamburger soup

  • 1
    Brown and drain ground beef well.
  • 2
    Put all ingredients in the pot and bring to a boil, reduce and simmer for at least an hour or till done. Remove bay leaf.
