Found this recipe on the side of a box of instant potatoes back in 1978. I bought them to try the recipe, but have never used instant potatoes in it. Nothing takes the place of real. :o)

Ingredients For hamburger potato cassarole

  • 2 lb
    ground chuck, cooked
  • 1 can
    cambells tomato soup
  • 1 can
    green beans
  • 4 lg
    potatoes, mashed

How To Make hamburger potato cassarole

  • 1
    Spray a cassarole dish and put the ground chuck in first (you can add onions to this while it's cooking if you perfer.) Add the tomato soup next. Use a spoon to spread it out, but dont mix it together. Then after you've drained the green beans put them on top.

    Then spoon the mashed taters on the top of it all. (you can brush with butter or sprinkle cheese if you like.) Bake about 30 min. in a preheated over at 350 degrees. The potato peeks should start to brown.
