My dad made this when I was home growing up. Its so yummy especially on a chilly day. We usually had it over mashed potatoes, but it can be put over egg noodles as well.

Ingredients For hamburger gravy

  • 1 lb
    hamburger
  • 1
    onion
  • 1 can
    beef broth
  • dash
    kitchen bouquet
  • dash
    garlic powder
  • dash
    soy sauce
  • salt & pepper
  • cornstarch

How To Make hamburger gravy

  • 1
    Chop onion and cook with hamburger till brown. Drain.

    Add beef broth, kitchen bouquet, garlic powder, soy sauce, salt & pepper, & hamburger. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.

    Mix cornstarch with just enough water until it can be stirred. Slowly add into the mixture and whisk while cooking on low until you get the thickness you desire.

    Add gravy to mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
