Personally I've never had this dish because I don't like cabbage, but it's one of my husband's favorites.

Ingredients For hamburger cabbage

  • 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2
    head cabbage
  • 1/2 sm
    onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 3 md
    potatoes, scrubbed but not peeled

How To Make hamburger cabbage

    Brown beef in skillet, drain.
  • 2
    Place sliced potatoes in slow-cooker or casserole dish. Add half the cabbage. Top with half the onions. Place beef over vegetables and sprinkle with half the seasonings. Top with remaining cabbage, onions and seasonings. Spread ketchup over all.

    To cook in slow-cooker: Cook on low 6 hours. To cook in oven: Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
