ground beef pot luck recipe in a crock pot
(1 rating)
This is my revised recipe of Rose Salvar's posted recipe on JAP named "BINKLEY STEW" I made minor changes and cooked it in the crockpot. I cooked her recipe last week, check it out, I am sure you will like it. I did. I made a double batch, to take to the post gathering for last night. When it was about half done I received phone call, the pot luck was called off until next week! So what's to do??? I scooped out the 1/2 cooked hot recipe, onto a cookie sheet...to cool off. Later I bagged it and put it in freezer bags, then popped them in the freezer for next week! Nancy 5/22/13

How To Make ground beef pot luck recipe in a crock pot
-
1One of the veterans at the Post, is on dialysis. So the potatoes ( peeled and cut up) were put in water overnight. Then drained 3 times in fresh water. To reduce the sodium level. You can use your cut up potatoes the day you start this wonderful recipe.
-
2Second day ..in a large skillet add the olive oil, then brown the meat and onions. When cooked drain any grease from the beef mixture..in a colander.
-
3Put beef and onions in the crockpot and add the package of frozen green beans, and the cut up potatoes. I added 2 cups of water with the beef flavoring added blended in. Canned beef broth would be to salty! Stir well.
-
4Add the cut up carrots, and a couple shakes of black pepper. Stir well. Notice no salt was added. But you can add salt if you wish.
