My family loves this Beef dish which is breezy to cook and yummy too. I have had some American friends that ate it as a taco filling when I served it with Pita bread and rice

Ingredients For ground beef (keema)

1 lbground beef
-
2 Tbspcanola oil
-
1 mdonion chopped
-
1 mdtomato chopped
-
2serrano chiles chopped add or reduce per taste

1 stickcinnamon
-
4-5peppercorns
-
1 tspginger paste
-
1 tspgarlic paste
-
2 tspcilantro fresh chopped
-
1 1/2 tspsalt or to taste

1 tspcumin seeds
-
1 tspcumin powder
-
1 tspcoriander powder
-
1 tspred chili powder/ to taste

2 Tbspcilantro, fresh optional for garnish
How To Make ground beef (keema)

1Heat Oil in a pan

2Add all the whole spices, Cumin seeds, Cinnamon stick. peppercorns, Cloves etc

3Once they Start sizzling add the chopped Onions. Fry till they get pink.

4Now add the ginger, garlic pastes, tomatoes and all spices including 1/2 of chopped cilantro and green chilies and salt

5Saute on medium flame till oil starts to separate. The tomatoes should be soft by now.

6Now add the Ground beef. Make sure to mash it up good or else you will get lumps of ground beef. Stir fry for about 5 minutes.

7Add about 3 Table spoons water. Cover and let it simmer till cooked about 10 minutes.

8Serve with Pita Bread or Naan bread. Can also be eaten with rice
