A friend made some grilled cheeseburger sandwiches and I decided to put my own little spicy spin on it. I use potato bread and Cajun seasoned bacon. YUM!

A burger with bacon, pepper jack, and jalapenos... full of flavor is an understatement. The burger patty itself is seasoned perfectly and jam-packed with flavor and bacon. Stuffing the burger inside a pepper jack and jalapeno grilled cheese makes this the ultimate burger. We used Texas Toast for the grilled cheese and it made this similar to a patty melt. A wonderful burger during grilling season.

Ingredients For grilled pepper jack bacon burger sandwiches with jalapeños

  • BURGERS
  • 1 lb
    beef
  • 1/2 - 3/4 c
    bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 Tbsp
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 c
    beef broth
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • pepper, to taste
  • GRILLED SANDWICH
  • 8 slice
    of your favorite bread
  • 8 slice
    pepper jack cheese
  • 1 c
    nacho sliced jalapenos
  • butter, margarine, or mayo

How To Make grilled pepper jack bacon burger sandwiches with jalapeños

  • Crumbled cooked bacon on a plate.

    Cook and drain bacon. Then crumble.
  • Combining burger patty ingredients.

    Mix burger ingredients until bacon is evenly distributed and meat soaks up liquid.
  • Meat formed into four patties.

    Fire up the grill and make 4 patties.
  • Grilling the hamburger patties.

    Grill until juices run clear or slightly pink. Cover burgers with foil to keep warm.
  • Butter on four pieces of bread.

    Spread butter, margarine, or mayo on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Bread in a skillet with pepper jack cheese and jalapenos.

    Place four slices of bread, butter side down in a large fry pan. Put one slice of pepper jack on each slice of bread. Divide jalapenos into four portions and top each slice with jalapenos.
  • Remaining cheese added to the skillet.

    Top jalapenos with the rest of the pepper jack.
  • Sandwich topped with buttered bread.

    Add rest of bread, butter side up. Fry on medium until cheese is melted.
  • Hamburger placed in between grilled cheese.

    Open up the grilled cheese and jalapeno sandwich. Place a warm burger inside and close the sandwich. Slice down the middle. Enjoy!
