My Mother made this recipe& we all loved it. I changed a few things. At the end of this recipe. I will give u her version, & u may try both. My family Loves this recipe. Expecially my Son in Law. I live with my Daughter now. & they still want it.

Ingredients For goulash

  • 2 lb
    2 lbs. lean groud beef.
  • 1cup each c
    1cup of diced green bell peppers, yellow, & red
  • 1 clove
    1 whole garlic diced
  • pinch
    dash of salt, & pepper to taste
  • 1 jar
    16oz. of chi chi's sause
  • 1 can
    i can of tomatoe juice. lg. can
  • 1 tsp
    itatlian seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    basil, dried just sprinkle to taste. i don't measure these types of ing. just once it starts cooking good,add to taste.
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried

How To Make goulash

    Brown Lean Hamburger,onions, peppers, & garlic & seasonings.Before seasonings. U might have to drain, then add the seasonings

    Cook a box of Velvetta shells of & Mac & cheese, 2 boxes if needed. Drain, & add cheese & a dab of milk stir together Pour in the Chi Chi's sause, 1 can of Tomatoe Juice, Let come to a boil. Lower to simmer.

    Then add first ingreds. Simmer for about half an hr. then turn to low. The longer it cooks the better it is. The next day warm it up, taste even better. That is if there is any leftover.

    Serve with Rools, Or french bread, Or cornbread. & a Salad of favorite choice.
