Ingredients For german beef stew

1 1/2 lbbeef stew meat, cut in 1 inch cubes

2 Tbspoil

1 lgapple, pared and shredded [1 cup]

1 mdcarrot, shredded [1/2 cup]

1/2 lgonion, sliced

1/2 cwater
-
1/2 cdry red wine
-
1 tspsalt

1 clovegarlic,minced

2 smbeef bouillon, cubes

1 smbay leaf
-
1/4 tspdried thyme
-
4 tspcornstarch
-
1/4 ccold water
-
4 cnoodles, medium sized, cooked and drained
How To Make german beef stew

1Brown meat in hot oil. Add apples, carrot,onion, 1/2 cup water, wine, salt, garlic, bouillon cubes, bay leaf, and thyme. Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until beef is tender. Remove bay leaf. Combine cornstarch and the cold water; add to beef mixture. Cook and stir until thickened. Serve over hot cooked noodles.
