Got this one from my Betty Crocker cookbook, their note says "tastes like French onion soup over steak". I, for one, don't care for french onion soup, but these sandwiches are amazing!!!

Ingredients For french onion sandwiches

2 Tbspbutter or margarine

44 oz. beef cubed steaks

1 mdonion, sliced and separated into rings

1 cbeef broth
-
1 Tbspcorn starch

2 tspworcestershire sauce
-
1/8 tspgarlic powder
-
41 in. slices french bread, toasted (or brat buns)

21 oz. slices swiss cheese, halved
How To Make french onion sandwiches

1In a large skillet melt margarine. Add steaks and cook over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or till done. Remove from skillet, reserving drippings.

2Cook onion in drippings till tender. Combine broth, cornstarch, worcestershire, garlic powder, and a dash pepper. Add to skillet. Cook and stir till bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes more.

3Place steaks on bread. Top with cheese and onion mixture.
