I got this recipe from my friend Chef Bobby. He normally made enough to feed a couple of hundred so I adapted it to feed a family of 4.

Ingredients For fideo

  • 5 oz
    vermicelli fideo
  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 2 c
    diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp
    chicken base
  • 2 tsp
    cumin
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • to taste
    salt

How To Make fideo

  • 1
    Cook vermicelli until al dente. Drain.
  • 2
    While pasta is cooking, place ground beef,tomatoes, onion powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt and chicken base in a skillet.

    Mix well. Brown the ground beef mixture stirring frequently. Drain excess grease.

    In a bowl, mix the pasta and beef mixture well.

    Serve immediately.

    **Great served with tortilla chips.
