I grew up making this steak my Dad taught me to make this. It is so easy to make. It is good served with a Chef's salad and hand cut french fries.

Ingredients For eddie's cubed pepper steak with mushrooms

  • 1 lb
    round steak, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp
    shortening
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    catsup
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 3 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1
    beef bouillon cube
  • 1 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 1 box
    mushrooms, fresh
  • 2 lg
    peppers cut into rings
  • 1 md
    onion cut into rings

How To Make eddie's cubed pepper steak with mushrooms

    Brow beef cubes in shortening, remove from pan.

    Blend in flour to make a smooth paste
  • 3
    Add catsup, water, soy sauce pepper, bouillon cube, garlic, ans onion bring to a boil. Reduce heat simmer for 20 minutes

    Add beef to sauce cook until tender.

    Add mushrooms, pepper, and onion rings cook for about 10 minutes or until crisp tender. DO NOT ADD SALT OR ACCENT.

    Serve immediately with hot fluffy rice.
