This may not look like much. But whencamping with a bunch of fisherman,or the kids. you want some thing fast and simple.

Ingredients For easycamp stew

  • 1/4 c
    bacon drippings (i always keep some on hand)
  • 2 lb
    beef chuck roast , cut up in chunks
  • 2 can
    tomato (diced)
  • 2 can
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 lg
    onions diced
  • 4
    carrots, chopped
  • 4
    celery ribs chopped
  • 2 can
    new potatoes ,large,and drained.
  • 4 can
    dark beer, ( forthe kids use beef stock)
  • flour, seasoned to dust meat

How To Make easycamp stew

  • 1
    in a large pladtic bag add meat cubes,and flour. Mix and coat meat. In a large dutch oven,(14-16 qt),add bacon grease,and meat. Over medheat cook mest till brown. After meat is brown,add tomatos,cream of mushroom soup,onioncarrots potatos,celery. and what ever else you want to add. Pour in beer,(or beef stock.) cover set in coals. cook for 1-1/2 - 2 hours. check to make shure to keep liquid in pot . serve with corn bread or bisquits.
