I have no idea how I came up with this recipe. I have been making it ever since I graduated High School (1990). It is really yummy and quick/easy to fix. I just made it for the first time for my husband's family for a potluck. We didnt bring any home - it went over that well! This is by far my favorite casserole in the world. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients For easy sheppards pie

  • 1 box
    (2 pouches) betty crocker sour cream and chive instant mashed potatoes - prepared
  • 2 lb
    extra lean ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    (16 oz.) frozen mixed veggies - thawed and drained
  • 2 can
    (small) tomato paste
  • 5
    generous splashes worcestershire sauce
  • 3 pinch
    (generous) garlic powder
  • 3 pinch
    (generous) paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make easy sheppards pie

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Brown hamburger seasoned with garlic powder, worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt and pepper. When cooked through mix both cans of tomato paste in the hamburger mixture. Spoon into 9X13 pan and spread evenly.

    Layer thawed and drained frozen mixed veggies on top of the hamburger layer.

    Evenly spread prepard mashed potatoes on top. Bake uncovered, on middle rack until heated through. Enjoy!
