Can be made with beef, venison, or elk. We usually have a lot of deer and elk meat in the freezer so I use that in place of the beef. My husband LOVES it!

Ingredients For easy beef or venison and broccoli stir fry

3 Tbspcorn starch, divided

1/2 cwater plus 2 tbsp water, divided

2 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 lbboneless beef, venison or elk round steak cliced into thin 3 inch strips.

2 Tbspvegetable oil, divided
-
4 cbroccoli florets
-
1small onion, cut into wedges
-
1/3 csoy sauce
-
2 Tbspbrown sugar
-
2 tspgrated fresh ginger or 1 tsp powdered ginger
-
hot cooked rice
-
1 pinchred pepper flakes (optional)
How To Make easy beef or venison and broccoli stir fry

1In a bowl, combine 2 T. cornstarch, 2 T. water and garlic until smooth. Add meat and toss to coat.

2Heat Large skillet or wok over med-high heat, add 1 T. oil to hot pan, swirl to coat then stir fry beef to desired doneness. Remove from pan and keep warm.

3Place remaining 1 T. oil in pan and stir-fry onion and broccoli for 4-5 minutes, then return beef to pan.

4Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, 1/2 c. water, and red pepper flakes. Add to the pan. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.

5Serve over hot cooked rice.
