This simple recipe was given to me by a friend I went to college with. She passed away several years ago from lukemia. Every time I make this, I am reminded of what a great lady she was.

Ingredients For donna's pot roast

  • 2 lb
    beef sirloin roast
  • 4 md
    potatoes, peeled and cut in wedges
  • 1/2 pkg
    baby carrots
  • 1 sm
    onion, chopped (optional)
  • 1 bottle
    italian salad dressing

How To Make donna's pot roast

  • 1
    Peel potatoes and cut in wedges. Place in bottom of the crock pot. Place carrots on top of potatoes. Then chopped onion (if using).

    Use a fork and poke several small holes in the roast then place on top of vegetables.

    Pour entire bottle of dressing over roast and vegetables.

    Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until vegetables are tender and meat pulls apart.
