Ingredients For diane’s beef stroganoff

2-3 lbstewing beef

2 Tbspolive oil
-
1/2 stickbutter
-
1/2 cflour
-
1 tspsalt
-
2 tsppepper
-
1/2 cwhite wine for deglazing (optional)

1 lgonion (sliced into ¼” strips)

1 lggarlic clove (minced)

1/2 cketchup
-
1/2 cworcestershire sauce
-
4-4 oz canbutton mushrooms
-
16 ozsour cream
-
16 ozwide egg noodles (cooked per package instructions)
How To Make diane’s beef stroganoff

1Heat oil and Butter on medium high heat in a large Dutch oven.

2Mix salt and pepper with flour and toss with beef to coat.

3Brown beef in Dutch oven remove and set aside.

4Deglaze pan with white wine and add the onions and garlic, sauté till tender.

5Return browned beef to the pan.

6Add ketchup, Worcestershire Sauce and the juice of the canned mushrooms into the mixture. (Set the mushrooms aside)

7Reduce heat, cover and braise for 2-3 hrs or until tender

8Mix in Sour cream and mushrooms and heat trough (5min)

9Serve over egg noodles with warm crusty Italian bread on the side.
