I loved when my dad would make this dish, especially because of the caramelized onions, yummy!

Ingredients For dads simple liver and onions

  • 2 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 2 lg
    onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1-1/2 lb
    beef liver, sliced into steaks

How To Make dads simple liver and onions

    In lg skillet, heat oil over med-high heat. Add onions, and saute until caramelized.

    Remove onions to a bowl and keep warm. In lg shallow bowl, mix together flour, salt and pepper. Coat liver steaks lightly w/ flour mix. Add liver to skillet, pouring in a little more oil, as needed.

    Brown the liver 5 mins each side or until cooked through. Top liver w/ onions and serve.
