daddy's killer meatloaf

This is my dad's recipe and it is the best meatloaf, and anyone who has tried it has said as much. Ladies where I used to work even paid him to make this for them. Quite the boost to my widowed father! We dig ramps here in the Smoky Mountains in the spring and I have substituted the onion with ramps. My stepson says he does not like meatloaf, but with the ramps, he actually ate the leftovers!!!

Ingredients For daddy's killer meatloaf

1 lbground chuck

8 oztomato sauce
-
1egg
-
1 mdonion, chopped
-
1 coatmeal, (whole grain, old fashioned)

1 cketchup
-
1 chunt's original bbq sauce
-
1 cwater
How To Make daddy's killer meatloaf

1Mix together ground chuck, tomato sauce, egg, onion, and oatmeal. Form into a loaf in center of 9x12 pan, leaving space on either side of meatloaf. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

2For glaze: Mix together ketchup, BBQ sauce and water. Pour over cooked meatloaf and return to oven. Bake for additional 20 minutes.
