Ingredients For crockpot stuffed cabbage

  • 24
    cabbage leaves
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    thyme
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    minced garlic cloves
  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 6 oz
    tomato paste
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 c
    minute rice
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 3/4 c
    water

How To Make crockpot stuffed cabbage

    Wash cabbage leaves.
  • 2
    Boil 4 cups water.
  • 3
    Turn heat off.
  • 4
    Soak leaves in water for 5 minutes.

    Remove, drain and cool.
  • 6
    Combine remaining ingredients except tomato paste and water.

    Place 2 tablespoons of mixture on each leaf and roll firmly.

    Stack in crockpot.

    Combine tomato paste and water and pour over stuffed cabbage.

    Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours.
