This is the recipe for steak soup served at Steak and Ale Restaurant. It took a lot of "begging", but my mother finally wore the chef down and he shared it with her. I've served it many times and am always asked for the recipe; I thought it was time to share!

Ingredients For crockpot steak soup

  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 pkg
    frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 can
    tomatoes
  • 1 c
    chopped carrots
  • 1 tsp
    accent
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    kitchen bouquet
  • 2 1/2 c
    water

How To Make crockpot steak soup

    Brown meat, drain, set aside.
  • 2
    Melt butter in skillet, add the flour, stir to make paste. Slowly add 2 1/2 cups water then kitchen boquet, bring to a boil.

    Put everything in crock pot and cook on low 8 hours.
