Ingredients For crockpot beef stew

2.5 lbbeef, extra lean

1/4 tspbasil

1/4 tspthyme
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
1 tspsalt

2-3 Tbspflour
-
1 canstewed tomatoes
-
2onions, sliced and separated into rings

2.5potatoes, cut into eighths
-
7carrots, cut into 2" pieces
-
2-3 Tbspworcestershire sauce
How To Make crockpot beef stew

1Layer the veggies and meat (in that order), mix flour and seasonings and sprinkle over each meat layer.

2Sprinkle with worcestershire sauce, pour stewed tomatoes over all, cover and cook on low 10-12 hours.

3Note: Variable amounts are for 3-1/2 or 5 quart pots.

4There is lots of gravy, which may be thickened with cornstarch if desired.

5Sometimes instead of potatoes, cook large elbow macaroni separately and put the macaroni in the bowl with leftover stew to soak up the good gravy.

6Also add a drained can of cut green beans to the veggies (during the last 4 hours).
